Mesquiteaz.com is a partnership between Scott Butler and Hector Matta
We have taken our collective 50 years of experience of working with wood and brought it to you in the form of Mesquiteaz.com. Scott has a back ground and a particular interest in free form furniture that has its roots in Adirondack furniture. Hector is a master craftsman with a back ground in custom doors, cabinets, and is responsible for making most of the objects you will see on this site.
Scott Butler’s Bio:
I started cutting mesquite with my saw mill 25 years ago and caught the mesquite bug way back then. I remember the first time I recognized the unique beauty of mesquite. I was at a friend’s house and we were sitting on his couch. He had his feet resting on top of his mesquite coffee table. When I started to look at the table I could see flashes of light and wild grain and a depth of wine red color that made the coffee table beautiful. In that moment I was hooked. Crafting fine wood pieces of furniture out of mesquite is difficult work but the payoff is oh so worth it.

We are custom woodworkers hand crafting individual pieces that are made to your specs. Contact Us and we will meet with you and help you flesh out your ideas. We will draw the schematic for cabinets, doors, and furniture. We will hand make it, finish it, and install it.
